The Ordoñez family has been serving South Florida in both personal and corporate insurance for many years. Jaime C. Ordoñez choose to focus on servicing his clients through Retail Insurance and founded Eastern United Insurance in 1988, an independent agency serving the State of Florida. Upon completion of a bachelor’s degree in 2003, his son, Jaime D. Ordoñez opened a second retail location serving the states of Florida and Georgia.
Both locations hold the same long standing vision, to provide customers with the best available coverage options at the best available price while maintaining the highest standards of ethical business practices and quality customer service.
EUI is a member of multiple Trade Professional Organizations including Florida Association of Insurance Agents, Professional Insurance Agents of Florida, BIG I and Miami Young Agents Council. Jaime D. Ordoñez also served two terms as a Director for the Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies volunteering his time in various capacities such as the Legislative Committee and Membership Committee, advocating for consumer rights as well as those of his colleagues.
Meet the EUI Team
Jaime Ordonez is a proud business owner in the insurance industry who has devoted over 16 years of service to his South Florida community. With deep family history strongly tied into the industry dating back to the 1800s, Jaime chose to open up his very own insurance agency to carry on the historic family tradition. In 2003, after graduating from Florida International University at 24 years old with his Bachelors Degree, Jamie’s journey began.
When he first opened his agency, he mostly focused on auto, homeowners and small business insurance. Then, in early 2008, he was presented with the opportunity to provide coverage options for a Residential Condominium Association which he accepted. He dove into this new challenge eager to learn all about this specific line of business and the many areas he could be of service protecting any gaps between insurance coverage plans. Given the complexity of this specific type of insurance, it has been his greatest accomplishment to be able to earn the trust and business of Residential Condominium Association clients. And in this market, Jaime has continued to polish his talents through many years of experience which has led him to much success.
His greatest motivation is to help individuals and businesses keep insurance costs as low as possible while ensuring they have the most comprehensive coverage available. Jaime believes strongly in properly teaching and informing his consumers on what coverages they are purchasing and explaining to them why insurance is so important in their personal and professional lives. Jaime believes he has learned a lot over the past 16 years but looks forward to every opportunity to learn about the industry and expand his insurance product base for the benefit of his clients every day.
When Jaime isn’t helping others find the best coverage for their their personal or business needs, he is typically out boating, exercising, or enjoying time with his family.
Jessica Salinas is an Eastern United Insurance team member for over two years with a passion to serve her customers and care for them as if they were part of her own family. Before entering the insurance industry Jessica professionally sold furniture and made the switch once she realized she enjoyed the insurance industry and found her niche. With a team that felt like family and care for customers like nothing else Jessica knew she was meant to be part of the EUI Team. When Jessica is not assisting her customers you can find her spending time with her family, playing video games, or going out with friends.
Engia Varona is a full-time student at Florida International University and is proud to have been accepted into FIU after obtaining her Associates Degree. Engia has been a devoted EUI team member since May of 2018 and sets herself apart from others in her profession with the way that she really cares about her clients. She’s not just focused on the monetary value. She listens to them and does her very best to provide them the kind of service they are looking for. When she’s not working with her clients, you can find her enjoying her time with family, friends, or shopping at the mall
